Our one year old, Yoshie is going through his first episode. He seems to be over the hump after 24 hours.

About 3 hours into his episode I stumbled across your information/tips. We can't thank you enough for posting your remedy and tips for prevention. It has made a stessfull feel a little more controlable and shed some light on his condition. I just administered the last dose of Ascripton and we'll continue the Benadryl for atleast another day.

We are having trouble finding the cause for Yoshie's episode. The only conclusion I can come up with is that my wife and I had to work a little later than usual one day and maybe that little change to his routine caused enough stress.

Thanks again for your help and we'll keep you posted on if we can catch his episodes early on so he doesn't have to go through the full episode involving the high fever. We feel so bad for the poor guy and I hope to help him as much as I can. I think if I can observe the blank stare (it was the first sign along with a runny nose) early enough and give him the meds than maybe we can stop it at that point.

My 1 year old Pei Pudge is being tested for FSH. Do you have any recommedations of food, daily supplements I can start giving on daily basis? A blood and urine analysis is in order and I should have results by Wednesday. We've had little issues with Pudge and this morning he woke up lethagic and with a very swollen hock. Any recommedations would be greatly appreciated. Our doctor is the top Pei vet in Houston and praying we have a better outcome with Pudge.

I lost my pei Lyna nearly 2 years ago(she was 6 years old), we didn't have a knowledgeable vet but I'm almost sure this is how we lost our precious Lyna. She died of renal failure. Within 2 weeks her health deteriated rapidly and lost 7 lbs.

Thanks

I've read your wonderful posts on Shar Pei Fever & Amyloidosis. Our Gurlee is now suffering terribly of that disease which has affected her liver.

Have you tried good ole-fashioned Italian/Jewish Penicillen? That's chicken soup. I put all the veggies in the blender with the broth & give Gurlee that with chicken chunks. You can whip up some eggs in that too. If she won't eat the chunks, throw that into the blender too.

Can't let the poor dear go without nutrition, so feeding that to her through a baster is better than nothing at all.

My heart goes out to you both and I wish you the best.

Be well,
Starr
